On 30 December 2022, the celebration of the Grand Alumni Homecoming of the Assumpta Technical High School (ATHS) has resumed after the two-year pandemic. It was hosted by ATHS Alumni Batch 1997. The event was attended by more than four hundred fifty (450) Alumni from Batches 1974 to 2022.
A Thanksgiving mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Brian Tayag, an alumnus from the Host Batch 1997, at the campus chapel. It was followed by a program held at the covered court. Buffet dinner and two raffle draws were sponsored by the host batch. One of which was the Fund-raising raffle tickets organized in August 2022 and several wrapped gifts which were prepared for lucky alumnus of each batch. Another raffle draw was all cash prizes courtesy of the ATHS Alumni Association (AAA).
The highlight of the program was the tribute given to the beloved teachers of Batch 1997. An honorable gesture of taking the hand of each of their teachers and putting on each ones forehead, called “Mano po,” and followed by “Aguinaldo” giving were very admirable.
Batch 1997 did not let the night to end without their special presentation with selected popular “Tik Tok” dances.
The Host Batch 1997, together with the AAA officials, has handed over a giant check amounting to Php 400,000.00 payable to ATHS to Ms. Arlene S. Carlos, the incumbent Chairperson of the Assumpta Technical High School.
A ceremonial passing of the symbolic key of responsibility to the next host, Batch 1998 has concluded the night of the said homecoming event.
