News by Ms. Lee-Anne Manese

Following a week of online classes, Assumpta Technical High School (ATHS) conducted its first Parents’ Continuing Education Program (PACEP) online via Microsoft Teams, YouTube livestream and Microsoft Events on August 2 and 9, 2025. The program aims to foster a strong relationship between parents and the school through sharing school programs, events, and activities that can help parents better support their children.

Once resolved, the program officially started with words of welcome from the School Director, Ms. Arlene Carlos.

Part 2 – August 9, 2025

The discussions resumed the following Saturday, August 9, 2025, through Microsoft Events, which provided the parents with a smoother platform for the program.

The session was led by middle-level academic and non-academic coordinators, as well as the non-teaching staff and began with the rules and regulations, focusing on major and grave offenses.

This was followed by the discussion of academic procedures and policies, highlighting topics such as the Enhanced ATHS RealFlex Learning Modality, curricular and faith-formation programs, class schedules, attendance to onsite and online classes, conduct of online classes, taking summative assessments taking tri/quarterly/term assessments, completion and submission of performance tasks, guidelines on the ethical use of AI, grade review appeal process, role of parents and guardians and the fifth-week procedure/policy.

Additional discussions on responsible gadget use and the implementation of the “Phone-Free First Friday Policy” were also discussed.

The second session was a continuation of the August 2 program ensuring that parents received the complete set of guidelines, policies, and updates planned for the PACEP.

The program concluded earlier than scheduled, after which an evaluation form was distributed to the parents. This reaffirmed ATHS’ commitment to working with parents and stakeholders to provide transformative and quality education for its learners.
